It is engaged in research and teaching in the three research fields of Mobility Behavior, Integrated Planning and Traffic Safety, as well as Mobility Modeling and Simulation. Research topics range from conceptual issues of strategic planning to small-scale analyses of specific street spaces. The chair’s methodological focus is on the empirical analysis of mobility behavior, the application of agent-based models and road space analysis, particularly for road safety. The position is limited to 36 months with the option of extension. The period of employment is governed by the Fixed Term Research Contracts Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz - WissZeitVG). The position offers the chance to obtain further academic qualification (usually PhD / habilitation thesis). Balancing family and career is an important issue.
