Undergraduate</strong> degrees are offered in each of these professional fields, as well as Master’s degrees in Education & Education Psychology, Homeland Security, and Nursing and Doctoral degrees in Education and Nursing. The Division of Justice and Law Administration offers a Bachelor of Science in Justice and Law Administration as well as on online Master of Science in Homeland Security. There are options in legal studies, homeland security, law enforcement, corrections, and criminology. Our mission is to provide an integration of substantive and practical education in courses of study designed to prepare students for a variety of career choices in law, public service, social systems, and private enterprise. More information may be found on: <a href=\"https://www.wcsu.edu/justice-law-administration/\">www.wcsu.edu/justice-law-administration/</a> </p> <p><strong>Position Summary:</strong> Teaching assignments will include teaching four (4) courses per semester in our Justice and Law Administration degree program. Scholarly activity is expected. In addition, the successful candidate will participate in departmental and university service, engage in professional activity, as well as advising and mentoring of students on course selection and career opportunities.</p> <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong> An earned Ph.D. in Criminal Justice or a closely related field is required. Prior demonstrated excellence in teaching undergraduate courses, particularly in law enforcement-related subjects. Proficiency in teaching social science writing skills for criminal justice practitioners is essential. Prior experience in law enforcement and a strong track record of research and publication are highly preferred. Additional qualifications desired are expertise in the areas of data analytics, statistics, and crime mapping.</p> <p>WCSU’s small classes allow for student-based teaching and learning and project-based activities. Standard teaching load is 24-credits per academic year (12 credits) per semester.</p> <p><strong>Salary & Benefits: </strong>The hiring salary range is $73,912 – $86,231 and is commensurate upon candidates'' experience.
