The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Echocardiography. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Applicants should be board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases. Level III certification in echocardiography is also required.
Teaching responsibilities may include teaching and supervising medical students, residents and fellows in the echocardiography laboratory and if applicable while on rotation. The academic clinician track requires 100 credits per year of active and high-quality teaching.
Clinical responsibilities may include reading transthoracic and stress echocardiograms, supervising transesophageal echocardiograms, seeing patients in the echocardiography laboratory and inpatient service or clinic, and reading CT/MRI/nuclear. Other cardiac imaging modality abilities are welcome. An interest in clinical research or in informatics is desirable.
