Advertising Summary: The School of Dentistry, Oral and Craniofacial Molecular Biology, seeks a highly motivated individual to join the Harada Laboratory to assist in wet lab work related to tumor immunology studies.

Position duties and Responsibilities:
- Setting up and performing experiments; interacting with students and other laboratory staff
- Assists with preparation of reports, manuscripts and other documents
- Maintains and orders equipment and supplies
- Helps monitor compliance with institutional, state, and federal regulatory policies, procedures, directives and mandates
- Daily bench work involving advanced lab technical protocols such as Mammalian cell culture, Flow cytometry, and Western blotting
- Independently handling and maintaining advanced instrumentation
- Animal (mouse) experimentation and record keeping
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Immunology
- At least one-year experience in animal (mouse) experimentation and immunological studies
- Analytical skills and problem-solving skills
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as an hourly employee at VCU
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge in relevant scientific field, research techniques and methods
- Knowledge of regulatory policies and procedures
