Responsibilities
· The successful candidate will work collaboratively with college faculty and staff, as well as host teachers from surrounding school districts.
· Must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching as well as represent the program on university committees.
· Must demonstrate a willingness to collaborate and co-teach across departments.
· A desire to interact and work with students in the capacity to advise, mentor and help with field experience is necessary.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must have a Ph. D in Reading preferred or related field with specialization in reading and will have a minimum of three years teaching experience in an elementary education setting. A criminal background check is required before employment and must be able to secure an Alabama Teaching Certificate.
