The School of Nursing at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UA Little Rock) invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor (P00001058/R0087907). This is a 9-month tenure-track faculty position set to begin August 1, 2026. This successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, advising, mentoring, and evaluating students throughout the nursing program.

The UA Little Rock School of Nursing is a vital member of the Little Rock community. Required Education and/or Experience:

• Master’s degree in Nursing.
• Teaching experience and recent experience in nursing practice or nursing education in the area(s) of program need; Current, unencumbered Arkansas or multi-state RN license from a compact state or the ability to obtain Arkansas licensure prior to position start date;
• Maintain in-state residency during employment.

Preferred Education and/or Experience

• Doctoral degree in Nursing; or current enrollment in a doctoral program;
• Recent clinical and teaching experience in a successful, accredited Nursing program.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Active participation in team planning, decision-making, as well as curriculum review and revision;
• Demonstrate knowledge of current nursing practice and contemporary healthcare trends;
• Effective integration of technology into teaching.
• Demonstrate continued role development.
• Development of research in the area of specialization;
• Serve on committees supporting the School, College, University, and/or health services organizations;
• Participate in community service activities.
