Job Duties:
Each department at the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse maintains an ongoing search to serve as a pool of potential instructors for program needs. If hired from this pool, the instructor will be under the general supervision of chair. The instructor provides a variety of library services to graduate and undergraduates in the areas of teaching, learning, and public services to support creative exploration, intellectual growth, and scholarly pursuits. This position will be focused on teaching one-shot information literacy classes across various disciplines and other projects related to support information literacy instruction within the library department.

Key Job Responsibilities:
Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction
Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations
Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance

Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a field relevant to the department's needs, usually an MLIS, or substantial progress toward a graduate degree in Library and Information Science. Equivalent qualifications that support effective teaching in the position may also be considered.
