This position will manage and provide support for a grant-funded project designed to develop a partnership between VCU and RISE for Youth to lay the groundwork for a broader study of system-involved youth in Virginia. The project includes meeting with current and prospective community partners; scheduling, coordinating and attending meetings with young people and their families; creating an advisory group; communicating with the public and broader community; assisting with focus groups; writing reports; recruiting participants and partners; and planning and launching a community event.
Hours per week: 10-15 hour
Flexible Work Arrangements: Primarily remote with occasional in-person meetings in Richmond, VA
Responsibilities include
- Managing and coordinating the day-to-day activities for the project
- Daily communication with the project supervisor
- Weekly communication with project partners
- Weekly networking with community members
- Task planning and management
- Maintaining calendar and schedule for all activities, meeting deadlines
- Internal and external communications with project staff and stakeholders
- Event planning
- Report writing

Required qualifications:
- Experience working with a community organization
- Experience working with young people
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office products or similar software
