Qualified candidates will be given priority recommendation for national talent programs.
Successful candidates will initiate and lead collaborative research and perform academic and professional service duties associated with the ZJU-UIUC Institute. They will be leaders for teaching and research innovation, providing students with an interactive and outstandng engineering education.
Qiushi Chair Professor
Requirements: Applicants should be internationally recognized scholars who have achieved systematic and original academic accomplishments, made significant contributions to their fields, and demonstrated broad international academic influence.
Qiushi Distinguished Scholar
Requirements: Positions include Qiushi Distinguished Professor, etc. Applicants should hold a full professorship (or equivalent) at a reputable university, possess broad influence within their academic community, demonstrate the ability to lead the discipline to or beyond international advanced levels, and exhibit strong teamwork and organizational skills. Applicants should be under 55 years old as of January 1 of the recruitment year.
Tenured Professor /Tenured Associate Professor
Requirements: Applicants should currently hold tenured faculty positions at reputable universities worldwide.
Tenured Professor: Should have achieved internationally recognized academic accomplishments, possess considerable international reputation and influence, and have an excellent record in teaching, research, and talent cultivation, equivalent to a tenured professor at a leading global university.
Tenured Associate Professor: Should have produced original and significant academic work, enjoy certain international recognition and influence, and have a strong record in teaching, research, and talent cultivation, equivalent to a tenured associate professor at a leading global university.
Tenure-track Assistant Professor
Requirements: Applicants should hold a doctorate degree from a leading university. They should be outstanding young talents in their field with the potential to become academic leaders and capable of independently developing a research direction aligned with disciplinary development.
Postdoctoral Researcher
Requirements: Applicants should be under the age of 35 and have obtained a doctoral degree in recent years, with strong academic integrity and overall excellence. They should demonstrate good potential for academic development and an international outlook, and be able to work full-time at ZJU. Eligible outstanding candidates may apply for the Qiushi Postdoctoral Fellowship Program.
