Job description
Background of the recruitment and description of the project
In recent years, achieving carbon neutrality and a circular economy has become a major global challenge. In the fields of polymer and fiber materials, the development of sustainable material design and advanced material processing technologies has become an important research priority. In addition to advanced material processing technologies such as composite materials, functional films, nanofibers, and 3D printing, data-driven materials development utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation (DX) technologies has also been rapidly advancing.
Against this background, our Department of Advanced Fibro-Science seeks a young researcher who will conduct research and education on advanced functional materials for a sustainable society by promoting interdisciplinary research in material design, structural control, functional evaluation, and material processing based on polymer and fiber materials.

Under this system, PIs (Principal Investigators and Co-Investigators) may, upon request, charge their personnel expenses to the direct costs of competitive research funds in proportion to the effort devoted to research activities. The funds thereby made available may be used at the PI's discretion, including as a salary supplement. The total amount that may be paid in a single fiscal year, however, is limited to 60% of the PI's annual salary.
