Department: Research Platforms Office
About us
King’s Smart Trials Hub (STH) is a globally distinctive multi-omics centre, located at Guy’s Hospital campus within Research Infrastructure, part of Research Management and Innovation Directorate at King’s College London.
The Hub brings together state-of-the-art spatial and non-spatial ‘omics’ technologies to enable full molecular profiling of cells, tissues and liquid biopsies and leverages advanced, multi-modal technologies to investigate disease biology at high resolution, supporting the equitable development of personalised therapies.
About the role
As Technical Specialist in Single Cell Spatial Transcriptomics and Spatial Proteomics, you’ll play a key role in delivering and advancing cutting-edge single-cell and spatial omics technologies and workflows within the Smart Trials Hub.
Working as part of a highly collaborative and multidisciplinary team, the role provides expert technical support across a broad range of academic and commercial research projects, applying specialist knowledge of single-cell spatial transcriptomics and spatial proteomics, and associated technologies.
The role is responsible for delivering and optimising advanced single-cell and spatial omics workflows, including RNA & protein antibody barcoding protocols, cell sorting, next-generation sequencing (NGS), whole transcriptome analysis, method development, data acquisition and quality control. You’ll ensure the generation of high-quality, reproducible datasets and contribute to the continuous development of the facility’s research capabilities.
