Qualifications
Applicants should have (a) a doctoral degree in Educational Psychology or a closely related field, such as special education or school psychology. Preference will be given to candidates whose training or research specialization is in special education or in closely related areas; (b) a rigorous research agenda as shown by a track record of publications in international journals; (c) The appointment at the rank of Associate Professor depends on qualification and achievements of the applicant, such as established international excellence in research and scholarship with a sustained record of publications in high caliber international journals (e.g., SSCI or SCI indexed journals), national or international collaborative research profiles, and strong connections with scholars and practitioners in the field. The successful candidates will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, as well as supervise graduate students, in special education and related fields.
The selected candidate is expected to assume duty in August 2027.
Remuneration
A taxable annual remuneration starting from MOP1,052,800 (approximately USD129,980) for the position of Associate Professor and MOP855,400 (approximately USD105,600) for the position of Assistant Professor will be commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% - 7% after various discretionary exemptions.
