Job Description
The Department of Finance and Economics at BNBU invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Applied Economics (AE), with a strong mathematics background and training. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to undergraduate teaching for the AE Programme, with core responsibilities for mathematics-intensive courses including Econometrics, Calculus, Linear Algebra and related quantitative economics electives. The appointee will also engage in academic research, student supervision, and programme development activities.
Job Requirement
Candidates are required to hold a PhD in Economics, Quantitative Economics, or a closely related quantitative field from an internationally recognized university and to possess a strong mathematical background with rigorous training in university-level mathematics. Applicants should have excellent written and spoken English to deliver English-medium teaching and carry out academic administration. Prior university-level teaching experience in quantitative courses such as Econometrics, Calculus, or Linear Algebra is highly preferred, though early-career candidates with strong quantitative training and clear teaching potential will also be considered. Research experience in applied economics or quantitative economics is desirable. Candidates should also be capable of supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research projects with quantitative components.
