Your opportunity
Southern Cross University’s Faculty of Education is seeking an Associate Lecturer in Education to contribute to the teaching, learning and research profile of the Faculty. You’ll support the development of future educators through student-centred teaching, innovative curriculum design and scholarship that enhances the student learning experience.
You will make an impact by:
- Delivering engaging, student-centred teaching across face-to-face, blended and online modes, using contemporary learning technologies and flexible approaches.
- Contributing to innovative curriculum development, teaching resources and practices that enhance student learning.
- Undertaking research and teaching scholarship, contributing to publications, grant applications and collaborative research aligned with Faculty priorities.
- Building professional and community connections and contributing to Faculty activities, projects and academic service.
What you will bring
You’re an enthusiastic and developing academic with a passion for initial teacher education and a commitment to creating engaging, inclusive learning experiences. You bring contemporary teaching knowledge, an interest in innovative curriculum design and a developing research or teaching scholarship profile. You enjoy collaborating with colleagues and engaging with students, professional networks and the wider community.
To succeed in this role, you will also need:
- A PhD/Professional Doctorate (or demonstrated significant progress towards completion of) in Education or relevant discipline, in addition to an initial teacher education degree
- Demonstrated experience in innovative university teaching and curriculum design in initial teacher education.
- A developing research and teaching scholarship profile, including publications, grant applications and, where applicable, research supervision.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a commitment to cultural diversity, equity and workplace health and safety.

Your opportunity is:
- Full-time, continuing (permanent)
- Located at either Coffs Harbour, NSW 2450, Gold Coast, QLD 4225, or Lismore, NSW 2480. Relocation assistance is available, making it easier to join our regional communities.
- ACAD Level A (Associate Lecturer). The base salary ranges from $83,458 - $112,174 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $131,244.
