Job Description
The program of Public Relations and Advertising (PRA) at Beijing Normal-Hong Kong Baptist University invites applications from experienced student-centered scholars with expertise in one or more of the following fields: 1) AI-centered approaches to media studies; 2) public relations; 3) advertising. The position offers opportunities to pursue innovative teaching and collaborative research within a growing international academic environment.
Job Requirement
Applicants must possess a PhD in Communications or a related field and demonstrate excellence in both teaching and research. We are particularly interested in candidates conducting theoretically grounded qualitative and/or quantitative research with clear potential for international impact. The successful candidate will teach courses in areas such as public relations, branding, strategic communication, and consumer behaviour, while also contributing new curricular directions informed by their research expertise. Candidates should have a proven record of publication in high-quality journals, success in securing external research funding, and an ambitious research agenda. Special consideration will be given to applicants whose work engages with AI, digital media, datafication, or emerging communication technologies. Benefits and Appointment Terms
Commencing salaries will be commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience. Fringe benefits include housing allowance, leave, social insurance and commercial insurance. Appointments to these positions will initially be made on a fixed-term contract with mutual agreement.
