Duties/Expectations:
The George W. Romney Institute of Public Service and Ethics, at Brigham Young University (BYU) in Provo, Utah, seeks applicants for a full-time professorial faculty position in its Master of Public Administration (MPA) program. We seek well-qualified candidates with a completed Ph.D. in Public Administration or a closely related field by the start date. Preference will be given to applicants who can teach multiple graduate-level courses in the MPA program, which focuses on skills-related offerings like statistics, public and nonprofit personnel management, data analytics, ethics and public law.
Our department is interested in active researchers and excellent teachers, with a strong commitment to the field of public service. Applicants should provide evidence of scholarly commitment to research including publication in prominent public or nonprofit management journals, a strong pipeline of active research, and participation in applicable public service research conferences.

Housed in the BYU Marriott School of Business, the Romney Institute offers a NASPAA accredited MPA degree currently serving more than 200 students annually. Our programs include a full-time two-year program and a part-time, three-year executive program. Our department also supports ethics and communications classes for the college, as well as a Global and Community Impact minor with the Ballard Center. Salary, teaching load, and support for research and travel are competitive.
