ESCP Business School invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor position in Technology Management (Digital Products & AI), based at the London campus (United Kingdom), with a starting date of 1 September 2027. For entry-level positions, this role will follow the European Tenure Track process and expectations, noting local regulations.
The successful candidate will be expected to conduct high-quality research, teach across the School’s degree and executive programmes, and contribute to the intellectual and institutional life of the School. We are seeking a candidate who combines strong academic credentials with substantial industry experience and the ability to connect academic thinking with contemporary technology practice. Given the importance of programme leadership to the London campus, we would also particularly welcome candidates with an interest in, and appetite for, taking on programme leadership responsibilities as part of their future contribution to the School.
ESCP offers a stimulating research environment, including a research seminar series, a PhD programme, and generous research funding. Appointment level and salary will depend on the candidate’s experience and academic achievements.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to develop an active research agenda in technology management, digital products, AI or digital transformation, and to produce peer-reviewed research of a high international standard.
The candidate will teach primarily courses such as GenAI & Machine Learning for Product Leaders, Product Analytics & Experimentation, Computing & Software Architecture, and Agile Delivery & Modern Development. They will also contribute to teaching in digital transformation and AI in business across ESCP’s Bachelor, Master and executive programmes. Given the London campus’s strong executive education footprint, the ability to engage effectively with executive and corporate audiences is particularly valued. The candidate will also contribute to the programme’s academic development, and an interest in taking on its leadership in the future would be welcome.
The role involves building relationships with technology companies, practitioners, professional organisations and the wider technology ecosystem. These relationships will feed into the programme’s teaching, company projects and industry engagement, and support the development of ESCP’s School of Technology.
The candidate will contribute to the intellectual life and academic service of the Information & Operations Management (IOM) department, and collaborate with colleagues in the School of Technology and across ESCP’s campuses in Berlin, London, Madrid, Paris, Turin and Warsaw.
Where applicable, newly appointed faculty following the School’s structured faculty progression process benefit from a reduced teaching load during their first two years.
