Full Time Clinical and Tenure-Track Faculty Positions in Nursing

The Hariri School of Nursing (HSON) at the American University of Beirut (AUB) invites applications for a full time clinical and tenure-track faculty position at all professorial ranks.
HSON is particularly interested in receiving applications from candidates with a focused research program and experience in undergraduate and graduate education and practice. The successful candidate is expected to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The ares in most need are mental health and maternal child nursing, among others.
HSON, established in 1905, is the leading school of nursing in Lebanon and the region, recognized nationally and internationally for excellence in education, research, and service. It is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), and offers the Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Science in Nursing, and a PhD in Nursing Science programs.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, teach, and evaluate assigned courses.
- Use innovative teaching strategies appropriate to students' learning needs.
- Conduct research in areas of interest consistent with the foci of the School.
- Maintain a record of scholarly publications in peer reviewed journals.
- Participate in School and University committees.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
The successful candidate must have a PhD in nursing from an accredited university and a master of science in Nursing with clinical specialty (preferred). The candidate will also demonstrate strong research portfolio with a good publication record in respected peer reviewed and relevant journals, presentations in conferences, and experience in teaching graduate and undergraduate courses. In addition, the candidate must have demonstrated experience in attracting grants to support her/his research portfolio. Advanced practice in area of specialty is a plus.
