Job Story
The Junior Lead is responsible for leading a team of 10 to 12 student employees. Reporting to the Senior Lead, this role involves managing activities related to production, personnel, and workflow of kits.
Job Duties
- Lead a team of 10 to 12 student employees in the production of kits.
- Oversee workflow by monitoring completion/verification of kits.
- Ensure adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
- Train and coach team members on job tasks, policies, and safety protocols
- Assist in certifying Kitters for production and verification.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels for kitting purposes.
- Complete daily metrics as needed.
- Collaborate with the Senior Lead to optimize production processes and efficiency.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the work area.
- Perform any other duties as assigned to support production operations.
Required Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Additional Requirements
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role (1yr. preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Availability to work flexible hours, Monday through Friday between 5 am – 9 pm, including weekends if required.
- Reliable transportation
- Must be able to sit for long periods and walk long distances.
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Knowledge of production processes and workflow management
- College degree in a related field but not necessary
- People management skills
