Do you like working in an enthusiastic event team? Are you a highly organised team-player interested in providing high quality, customer-focused support in the organisation of the annual International Medieval Congress?
The International Medieval Congress regularly attracts over 2,500 medievalists from over 60 countries. With over 2,000 individual papers and 700 academic sessions and a wide range of concerts, workshops, excursions, bookfair and associated events, the Congress is Europe's largest annual gathering in the humanities. IMC is a hybrid event, streaming over 1000 hours of content, and offering virtual participation for those unable to travel to Leeds.
Working as part of the International Medieval Congress Team, you will provide excellent customer service as the first point of contact for IMC delegate queries as well as providing varied clerical, communication and event coordination support.

The ability to work effectively as part of a team and having good organisational and time management skills are also essential.
The 2027 International Medieval Congress will take place at the University of Leeds from 5-8 July 2027. The Conference and Events Administrator is required to be flexible particularly around this period as the work hours are extended during Congress and in the preceding weeks. This will include evening and weekend work at peak times.
