Ideally, this faculty member should have connections with thought leaders in the profession, as well as in professional associations in the field of organizational development and change.

The individual in this position will also be expected to teach courses, maintain office hours, and support program initiatives on campus, in-person in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

  • Recruit and engage prospective students and contribute to the continued growth and visibility of the OCL programs.
  • Contribute to curriculum innovation, course development, and continuous improvement across OCL programs.
  • Contribute actively to the intellectual and professional life of the OCL unit and provide service to the department, college, and university.
  • Maintain a visible presence in the organizational development and change scholarly community through conference presentations, publications, professional service, and disciplinary leadership.
  • Engage actively in relevant professional associations, particularly the Organization Development and Change (ODC) and Management Consulting (MC) Divisions of the Academy of Management.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Earned doctorate in Organizational Development and Change, Organizational Behavior, Organization Studies, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Organizational Psychology, Organizational and Social Psychology, or Human and Organizational Studies, with a substantive emphasis on organizational development, conferred by the start of a Fall 2027 appointment from an accredited institution.
  • An emerging research agenda and record of peer-reviewed publications and/or presentations appropriate for career stage in organizational development and change, organizational behavior, or organizational studies.
  • Demonstrated professional and/or scholarly engagement in organizational development and change through participation in professional associations, conferences, scholarly networks, and/or professional practice.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in one or more of the following areas: organizational development, organizational change, organizational diagnosis, leadership, group dynamics, organizational power and politics, organizational culture, or closely related areas of organizational studies.
  • Experience with, or demonstrated ability to develop, high-quality online instruction.
  • Commitment to working with a broad range of students and mentoring adult learners from varied professional, organizational, and educational backgrounds.

Desired Qualifications
