Job Description:
UToledo Health and the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences is seeking a full-time, tenure track, academic anatomic/clinical pathologist and cytopathologist. UTMC is a tertiary care center that supports UT College of Medicine programs for medical students, graduate students, and residents in a wide variety of programs. The Department of Pathology has training programs for AP/CP residents, for pathologists' assistants, and for laboratory technicians.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate primary clinical responsibilities at UTMC with other anatomic pathologists
- Teaching of residents and medical students is a critical part of this position, and the successful applicant must have exemplary teaching skills.
- Excellent opportunities are available for independent or collaborative research, and the candidate is expected to develop a strong publication resume.
- Provide services Monday through Friday
- Call every sixth weekend
Minimum Qualifications:
- M.D. or equivalent degree
- Must be AP/CP Board certified
- Must have successful completion of Fellowship in cytopathology along with Board Certification
- Must be eligible for licensure in Ohio Evidence of excellence in teaching and evidence of significant scholarly activity are essential
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Pathology/Cytopathology
