AI+ Professor of Education (AI Lead on Learning, Teaching & Assessment)
King’s College London is an internationally renowned university delivering exceptional education and world-leading research. We are dedicated to driving positive, sustainable change and realising our vision of making the world a better place. As part of a major strategic investment in Artificial Intelligence, we are delighted to invite applications to two senior education focussed AI+ professorial appointments, with the ambition of shaping the future of education in an AI enabled world.
AI+ at King’s reflects our ambition to harness the full potential of artificial intelligence across the full breadth of our disciplines, accelerating its application in areas that address society’s most pressing challenges, and advances core AI research and excellence in education.
These newly created roles will work with our growing AI+ community, including a cohort of recently appointed AI+ Fellows, AI+ professors, and existing members of the King’s Institute for Artificial Intelligence to drive innovation, influence institutional strategy, and support the responsible and effective integration of AI into teaching, learning, assessment, community engagement, and educational development. Whilst having a home faculty, the appointed professors will work closely, through the AI Institute, to provide connectivity across our nine faculties, and provide leadership across two distinct portfolios. Respectively these posts will be the leads for portfolios in learning, teaching & assessment, and education, community & innovation whilst also leading their own portfolio of research related to education in their discipline.
These roles will work closely with our Vice President (Education & Student Success) to contribute to the overall education agenda and, as part of the AI+ initiative, reflect our commitment to shaping the next generation of AI leaders and ensuring King’s remains at the forefront of groundbreaking AI education and innovation. The professors will serve as matter-expert champions, working with senior leaders across King’s to accelerate the deployment of AI research and education.
