- Reconcile daily and monthly payment batches, merchant settlements, clearing accounts, bank activity, campus card balances, and related general ledger accounts; research and resolve reconciling items promptly.
- Prepare and post recurring, accrual, and correcting journal entries for assigned activities, and support month-end and fiscal year-end close through account review, cutoff analysis, reconciliation certification, and audit-ready documentation.
- Prepare financial statements, account analyses, exception reports, management reports, and other financial data to support tax reporting, collections, revenue receipting, and management decision-making.
- Monitor automated feeds and integrations between assigned systems and the University general ledger; investigate and coordinate correction of interface errors, posting failures, duplicate transactions, refund issues, chargebacks, and other transactional discrepancies.
- Develop, document, and maintain accounting procedures, reconciliations, system controls, and record-retention support for assigned eCommerce, merchant-service, campus card, and payment processes.
- Evaluate internal controls over merchant accounts, cashiering interfaces, refunds, deposits, and payment processing; recommend improvements that strengthen accuracy, efficiency, compliance, and segregation of duties.
- Provide schedules, transaction support, reconciliations, and explanations for internal and external audits and compliance reviews.
- Administer campus merchant accounts and coordinate assigned PCI DSS compliance activities, including merchant onboarding, periodic reviews, documentation, and follow-up on remediation items.
- Build, configure, test, deploy, maintain, and audit department-specific online storefronts and point-of-sale sites using approved University solutions and secure payment paths, including product setup, inventory parameters, event settings, tax treatment, accounting distributions, and settlement rules.
- Configure and maintain campus card functions, including declining-balance plans, meal plans, account parameters, billing triggers, and related payment methods.
- Coordinate testing and operational support for integrations involving identity data, campus point-of-sale hardware, mobile ordering systems, checkout-free retail environments, and other assigned systems.
- Provide training, documentation, and technical support to Cashier Office staff and campus departments, and serve as an accounting and systems resource for assigned processes and payment systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
