About us:
The Events Team within the Global Student Recruitment and Admissions Directorate plays a key role in bringing the King’s experience to life at every stage of the prospective student journey. By connecting students directly with King’s people, places, and culture, the team delivers engaging experiences that move students from curiosity to commitment, while reinforcing the university’s brand and values through every interaction. The team works collaboratively to plan, coordinate, and deliver events that showcase the institution to prospective students and influencers.
About the role:
We’re looking for an Events Marketing Officer who will play a key part in helping prospective students discover what King’s College London can offer. This is a chance to join a friendly and motivated Events Team where your work will have a direct impact on how thousands of prospective students experience King’s for the first time.
In this role you’ll play an active part in planning and delivering a wide range of events both on campus and online, such as open days, offer holder events, information sessions and campus tours. The role involves regular communication with prospective students and a variety of stakeholders to make sure they have clear and timely information about each event. You’ll also help create engaging event materials such as signage, merchandise, content and other assets that bring the King’s experience to life.
Your day-to-day work will involve planning event schedules, creating event content, setting up and delivering online events, preparing briefs for and managing student ambassadors and making sure our events run smoothly on the day. You’ll build good relationships with internal teams and external partners, reporting directly to the Events Manager while working closely with the Head of Events.
You’ll also have the chance to shape how our events evolve. By gathering feedback and producing evaluation reports, you’ll spot opportunities to make future events even better. Your ideas will contribute to our event strategy that help us connect with students and create memorable experiences.
You will occasionally be required to work outside standard hours (9am-5pm), including early mornings, evenings and weekends, to support event delivery. You may also be required to represent King’s at activities across the UK and overseas.
This role suits someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, can juggle multiple tasks and wants to make a positive impact on the journeys of future students.
There are two roles available:
- The first role is offered as a permanent full-time post (35 hours per week).
- The second role is offered as a fixed term full-time post (35 hours per week) until 17 December 2027.
In your cover letter, please highlight which post(s) you are interested in.
