The Department of Management and Organization (MOR) at the USC Marshall School of Business seeks to hire a tenure-track faculty member in Strategy or Organization Theory to begin in Fall 2027. We welcome applications from candidates at all ranks. We seek candidates who are, or have the potential to become, leading scholars addressing important questions in strategy and/or organization theory, including but not limited to innovation, entrepreneurship, organizational change and design, institutions, interorganizational relationships, corporate social responsibility, and other questions concerning organizations, strategy, and their environments. We also seek candidates who demonstrate excellence or strong potential in teaching.
The MOR department is interdisciplinary; our 20 tenured/tenure-track faculty members span organizational behavior, organization theory, and strategy and have a variety of backgrounds, including psychology, sociology, economics, management, and strategy. We are a highly collaborative and inclusive group that embraces a diversity of topics, theoretical perspectives, and methodological approaches. In strategy and organization theory, research interests are broad, and faculty publish in leading management and strategy journals as well as disciplinary journals. We seek scholars who want to engage with a multidisciplinary intellectual community, address core questions in strategy and organization theory, and contribute to our undergraduate and MBA offerings.
Our faculty teach courses at the undergraduate, MBA, Ph.D., and executive levels. Please visit http://www.marshall.usc.edu/MOR for more information about faculty research and publications. Internal funding for research is generous.
