  3. Leading the development and implementation of programming for Derner’s Master’s Program in Mental Health Counseling (MHC) at the Manhattan Center.
  4. Developing relationships with clinical, educational, and community partners throughout New York City to expand our clinic through assessment, therapy and research integration.
  5. Collaborating with the Deans, program directors, faculty, and University leadership in strategic planning for the growth and visibility of Derner’s NYC presence.
  6. Contributing to the longer-term development of additional professional, clinical, and continuing-education initiatives in New York City.
  7. Teaching courses consistent with the candidate’s area of disciplinary and clinical expertise.
  8. Recruiting, coordinating, and supporting faculty and supervisors associated with Manhattan-based programming, as appropriate.
  9. Participating in School and University service consistent with a clinical faculty appointment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Candidates must possess a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology.
  2. New York State licensure as a psychologist is required.
  3. Three to five years of experience post-licensure is required.
  4. Prior experience directing or administering a clinical service, training program, academic program, or comparable professional initiative is desirable.
  5. Rank will be determined based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and professional accomplishments.

Candidates should demonstrate:

  1. Strong disciplinary and clinical expertise relevant to graduate professional education;
  2. A record of excellence in clinical teaching, supervision of multidisciplinary teams, and/or professional training;
  3. Experience with, or clear capacity for, academic or clinical administration;
  4. The organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills necessary to coordinate faculty, students, clinical activities, and program development;
  5. Commitment to high-quality professional education and clinical training;
  6. Ability to work collaboratively across programs and with internal and external partners;
  7. Interest in developing innovative professional and academic programming responsive to the opportunities afforded by a New York City location.

APPLICATION:

  1. Interested applicants should submit the following materials with their application: Cover Letter, Curriculum Vitae, and a list of three professional references.
