Position Overview

Primary Purpose of the Position

To teach entry level Doctor of Physical Therapy students in needed specialty areas or to assist with laboratory experiences.

Requirements and Preferences

• Position required to work during periods of adverse weather or other emergencies: No
• Minimum Experience/Education: Doctor of Physical Therapy and/or specialization certification related to content area teaching in.
• Normal Work Schedule: 8 – 5 pm, hours varied as needed
• Department Required Skills:
  • Ability to use a copier
  • Basic Computer skills
  • Ability to independently work computer/presentation technology
• Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education:
  • 2-3 years clinical experience preferred
  • Evidence of specialization in the content area preferred
• Required License or Certification:
  • PT License
  • Specialty certification for some classes (eg: Prosthetics)
• Valid US Driver's License: No
• Commercial Driver's License Required: No

Primary Responsibilities and Duties

• Teach lecture or laboratory class to Doctor of Physical Therapy Students (70%)
• Develop teaching, tests and other assessment materials (15%)
• Grade assignments and assessment activities (15%)
