Postdoctoral Research Fellow - Shapiro Lab
Overview
Post-doctoral position available in the laboratory of Dr. Geoffrey Shapiro at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School. The fellow will engage in studies of cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK) inhibitors in models of ER+ breast cancer and other CDK4-dependent cancers, with an overarching theme of reversing CDK inhibitor resistance.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the design, execution, and interpretation of experiments.
- Preparation of scientific presentations and publications.
- Interactions with collaborators.
- Supervision of technicians or students as needed.
Qualifications:
- Ph.Ds or M.D./Ph.Ds with a solid background in cell cycle biology and an interest in translational research are encouraged to apply.
- Only candidates with demonstrated ability for completing complex research projects during their Ph.D. and significant experience in standard laboratory techniques (including flow cytometry, tissue culture, PCR, western blots, etc.) will be considered.
- Experience with CRISPR and/or drug sensitivity screens, as well as work in patient-derived xenograft models will be helpful.

Pay Transparency Statement
The hiring range is based on market pay structures, with individual salaries determined by factors such as business needs, market conditions, internal equity, and based on the candidate’s relevant experience, skills and qualifications.
For union positions, the pay range is determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
$72,000.00 - $76,385.00
