About the Role

Want to use your learning, engagement and coordination skills to make a real difference? Join Swinburne’s Centre for Inclusive Employment and help improve employment outcomes for people with disability.

As Learning and Engagement Coordinator, you’ll help turn research and evidence into practical learning experiences, resources and tools that strengthen disability employment services across Australia.

Working closely with the Centre’s learning, research, communications and operations teams, you’ll coordinate professional learning activities and events, develop engaging digital content, build relationships with stakeholders and evaluate programs to support continuous improvement.

This is an exciting opportunity to combine your skills in learning and engagement with meaningful work that supports more inclusive employment practices.

About You

You’re an organised, collaborative professional who enjoys bringing people together, developing engaging learning resources and turning ideas into practical outcomes.

You’ll bring:

  • Experience developing professional learning, knowledge mobilisation or community engagement initiatives.
  • Experience evaluating programs and using feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build relationships and navigate challenges constructively.
  • Excellent coordination, time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong writing, editing and digital content skills, including creating engaging learning resources.

An understanding of the lived experiences of people with disability, particularly in employment and education, would be an advantage.

Qualifications

Relevant degree and/or extensive relevant experience in the areas of learning design, evaluation, stakeholder engagement, education and training and/or adult professional learning.

About Swinburne University of Technology

Swinburne’s strategy draws upon our understanding of future challenges. We choose to build Swinburne as the prototype of a new and different university – one that is truly of Technology, of Innovation and of Entrepreneurship. We are committed to a differentiated university proposition in education and research.

Our Ad Astra strategy is the cornerstone of Swinburne’s bold ambition to lead globally in technology-driven education and research. This strategy positions us to create transformative solutions, empower learners, and partner with industry to thrive in an ever-changing world.

About the Centre for Inclusive Employment

The Centre for Inclusive Employment was established at Swinburne University of Technology with funding from the Commonwealth Government. As part of the Centre for Social Impact, the Centre works to strengthen the employment services ecosystem so it is more person-centred and better equipped to support people with disability into meaningful employment.

Working with a national consortium of disability, employment and research organisations, the Centre brings together evidence from academic research, best-practice models, pilot programs and real-world experiences to understand what works in improving disability employment outcomes.

The Centre then turns this evidence into practical resources, tools, training and guidance that help employment service providers strengthen their services and better support the people and employers they work with.

By joining the team, you’ll contribute to work that connects evidence, practice and collaboration to help create more inclusive employment opportunities across Australia.

What We Offer You!

  • Work your way with flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options and generous parental leave to support a balanced lifestyle.
  • Exclusive staff discounts, including discounted Medibank health insurance, 50% off Swinburne courses and other partner offers.
  • Swinburne offers 17% super and salary packaging options, including car leasing and extra super contributions.
