Student Recruitment and Insights Department
The Student Recruitment & Insights department shapes, develops and implements the University's insight driven student recruitment and admissions strategies, ensuring a professional, engaging and seamless experience for every applicant.
The department provides a vital role in ensuring that the University attracts, converts and enrols outstanding cohorts of domestic and international students across the University's diverse portfolio of courses. It engages widely with enquirers, applicants, schools, colleges, local and regional communities, international partners and agents. It shapes our domestic and international applicant journeys from enquiry or application through to enrolment and course induction, provides data analysis and insight to stakeholders throughout the University, and supplies data on our students and staff to regulatory bodies.
About the role
Reporting to the Director of Student Recruitment and Insights you'll lead our UK Student Recruitment and Conversion team a highly visible and influential team that works closely with senior leaders across the University. You'll develop and deliver the University's strategy for recruiting students domiciled within the UK, including our local, regional and national engagement with schools and colleges, our annual programme of HE fairs, and our work to support final year undergraduate students into postgraduate study at UoG.
Working closely with our marketing, events and admissions teams, you'll plan and deliver a diverse range of activities and digital resources that encourage prospective students to apply to the University and choose to study with us.
You'll work with academic schools and professional services across UoG as our subject-matter expert on recruitment and conversion, making sure prospective students receive an engaging and consistent message about studying at UoG throughout their applicant journey. You will plan and coordinate the University wide programme of on-campus and online conversion activity, including offer holder days, experience days, webinars and peer-to-peer engagement. You'll use data and market insights to evaluate the impact of this activity on applicant decision-making and use what you learn to continuously improve our approach.
The successful candidate will be confident working with stakeholders across the university, managing and inspiring people, delivering events and representing the University of Gloucestershire. You will be an experienced organiser with knowledge of recruitment functions at a UK university, strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
