Our B.S. in Business Analytics and M.S. in Engineering Management emphasize quantitative, analytical, and computational approaches to organizational and technical challenges. This position will strengthen that focus by helping students apply these methods to improve operations, manage projects and resources, and support data-driven decision-making.

Minimum qualifications

  • Instructor: An earned master’s degree or higher in operations management, supply chain management, logistics, industrial engineering, engineering management, operations research, management science, project management, or a closely related field. Candidates with a graduate degree in business administration or another related discipline and relevant academic preparation or professional expertise in one or more of the position’s teaching areas will also be considered.
  • Assistant Professor: An earned doctorate in operations management, supply chain management, industrial engineering, engineering management, operations research, or a closely related field, completed before the start date.
  • Associate Professor: An earned doctorate in one of the fields specified for Assistant Professor, plus six years at the rank of Assistant Professor or equivalent.
  • Professor: An earned doctorate in one of the fields specified for Assistant Professor, plus six years at the rank of Associate Professor or equivalent.
  • All ranks: Evidence of effective college-level teaching and excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred qualifications

  • Industry experience in one or more areas such as supply chain management, logistics, operations management, engineering management, project management, or quality management and process improvement.
  • Relevant professional certifications in project management, supply chain management, Six Sigma, or quality management.
  • Evidence of effective and innovative teaching, including the integration of analytical tools, industry applications, or project-based learning.
  • Experience designing and teaching engaging, interactive online courses, with familiarity with quality standards and review frameworks developed by Quality Matters (QM) or the Online Learning Consortium (OLC).
  • Demonstrated commitment to student advising and mentorship, including support for students’ academic and professional development.
  • Experience collaborating across disciplines or mentoring interdisciplinary student projects, capstone experiences, or undergraduate research.
  • Experience developing industry partnerships or contributing to applied projects, professional training, or externally funded initiatives.
  • Contributions to scholarship, professional practice, or service commensurate with rank and instructional responsibilities.

Key dates

  • Start date: August 2027
  • Full consideration: applications received by January 11, 2027. Review continues until the position is filled.
