The International Research on Energy System Integration, Education, and Environment for Sustainability and Innovation (IRESI) Centre invites applications for a part-time (0.6 FTE) research assistant to work on STREACS, a European-funded project focused on enhancing research capacity in Armenia to accelerate its energy transition toward clean and renewable energy sources.
The research assistant will play a central role in the financial management of the project, working closely with the Principal Investigator and the wider project team. The successful candidate will take responsibility for budget monitoring, financial comparisons and forecasting, expenditure tracking, and the preparation of financial reports in line with funder requirements, as well as supporting all procurement activity for the project. Alongside this, the appointee will take the initiative to plan and run seminars, online research weeks, and research projects delivered on behalf of STREACS, and will contribute to the project’s general administration and day-to-day coordination. The role requires a proactive, organised, numerate, and detail-oriented individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, internationally focused research environment and liaising regularly with consortium partners across the EU and Armenia. This is an excellent opportunity for a researcher or research administrator to gain hands-on experience in the financial and operational management of a European-funded research project within an interdisciplinary and internationally collaborative team.
