About us:
The King’s community is dedicated to the service of society. King’s Strategy 2030 sets out how we take that purpose forward. The environment in which universities operate is shifting: the way higher education is funded is under strain, expectations of students and communities continue to evolve, and universities must increasingly show – through our actions and impact – the value we bring to society. Technology is changing how we teach, learn and research, and public scrutiny has never been stronger. In this context, standing still is not an option but King’s must be both fixed in our purpose and adaptable in our choices.
The Global Mobility Office is a student-facing and external-facing professional services team of twelve. This is an opportunity to join a small, centralised professional services team providing inbound and outbound study and work abroad lifecycle support and reporting, mobility partnership agreement negotiation and management, and administration of Erasmus+, and Turing in pursuance of the university’s Education and International strategies.
We are part of the Student & Academic Services Directorate, a collection of wide-ranging professional services in place to support King’s students and their education. As a directorate we manage the student lifecycle from application to graduation and beyond, to ensure a coherent and seamless student experience and effective administrative processes, working closely with King’s faculties to do so.
About the role:

The role combines programme administration, event management, student support and international relationship liaison.
The Global Mobility Senior Officer (Outgoing Students Co-ordinator) has operational responsibility for a set of tasks and processes within the Global Mobility Office’s wider remit. They work within and across multiple teams at the university, engaging with a wide range of colleagues.
They contribute to activities which positively impact the student experience. This includes:

- Delivering briefings and presentations on relevant topics including as part of biannual Go Global events and university open days
- Responding sensitively to student enquiries, either in-person, via email, on Microsoft Teams or other digital platforms, ensuring students experience consistent support pre-, during, and post-mobility
- Acting as an escalation point for outgoing student cases raised by the Officers or other stakeholders
- Representing King’s to overseas universities and provider organisations by hosting visits and occasionally attending overseas events such as the annual NAFSA and EAIE conferences
- Acting as a Data Guardian for mobility data reporting, and as a member of the Global Mobility senior team, with the Associate Director (Global Mobility), Head of Global Mobility and other senior officers
- Providing cover and support for other members of the team as necessary and as requested by the Head of Global Mobility or Associate Director (Global Mobility)
- Helping to run the Global Mobility Office through a range of other administrative tasks such as booking rooms, ordering catering, contributing to awaydays, logging Estates & Facilities issues, etc.
This is an exciting opportunity for candidates looking to work in a small, centralised professional services team that is both student- and external-facing and who wish to utilise their skills and expertise in student mobility programme administration, cross-functional working, international relations and student support.
The above list of responsibilities may not be exhaustive, and the post holder will be required to undertake such tasks and responsibilities as may reasonably be expected within the scope and grading of the post.
