About us:
King’s College London is one of the world’s leading universities and a member of the Russell Group. This role sits within the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience, in the Department of Biostatistics & Health Informatics, and is hosted by the NIHR Pan-London Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) – a partnership between King’s College London, Imperial College London, University College London, NHS organisations and local authorities that carries out applied health and social care research to improve outcomes for Londoners, funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR).
About the role:
This is a part-time post (0.4 FTE), fixed term until 30 November 2027, with the possibility of extension subject to funding availability, funded by the NIHR Pan-London Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) and hosted by Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. You will provide coordination, project management and administrative support to Theme 3 of the NIHR Pan-London ARC. This theme is about Data Science, AI and Predictive Analytics for Applied Health Research, led by Professor James Teo (King’s College Hospital) and Dr Thomas Woodcock (Imperial College London).
- Theme 3 delivers three flagship data-science projects running from 2026-2029 - COMPASS (real-time analytics on medication management for people with multiple long-term conditions),
- HAVEN (risk prediction for frail older adults, care-home residents and people experiencing homelessness) and
- FABRIC (a scalable mother-baby linkage method used to tackle inequalities in maternal and infant health)
- from 2028, together with a Horizon-Technology project (ORACULAR) joining from 2028, and three NIHR Career Development Award postdoctoral researchers.
You will act as the key operational link between the Theme Leads, project teams across King’s College London, Imperial College London, UCL and NHS/UKHSA partners, and the NIHR London ARC’s Programme Management Office, Population Impact Clusters and Research Functions, as part of the ARC’s shared pan-London coordinator team.
Day to day, you will maintain the theme’s project plan, Gantt chart, risk register and milestone trackers; organise and service theme meetings; support budget monitoring and reporting; coordinate annual reporting, ResearchFish submissions and NIHR Academy data returns; support research and information-governance compliance; and provide administrative support to the theme’s postdoctoral researchers. This is an excellent opportunity to gain project management experience within a large, multi-institution research programme working at the interface of data science, AI and applied health research.
This is a part time post (2 days per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract until 30 November 2027, with the possibility of extension.
