The opportunity
Use your project management skills and experience to shape the future of lifelong learning at one of the world's leading creative universities.
University of the Arts London (UAL) is embarking on an ambitious programme of transformation to rethink how it develops and delivers lifelong learning, executive education, short courses and online learning. Bringing together a number of strategic initiatives, the Lifelong Learning and Online Transformation Programme aims to strengthen UAL's educational offer, respond to evolving learner needs and create new opportunities for people to engage with creative education throughout their lives.
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join us on a 10-month fixed term contract and play a central role in turning this ambition into action. Working closely with the Pro Vice-Chancellor (PVC) Online and Lifelong Learning and colleagues across UAL's Colleges and Professional Services, you will coordinate a high-profile portfolio of projects spanning the Short Courses Review, Executive Education Strategy, Lifelong Learning Framework, and UAL Online Development.
This is an opportunity to make a tangible contribution during a significant period of change. You will bring structure, clarity and momentum to a complex programme, ensuring that priorities are aligned, risks are managed and progress is maintained across multiple workstreams. From developing project plans and managing dependencies to supporting governance, monitoring budgets and coordinating stakeholders, your work will help translate strategic thinking into practical delivery and meaningful improvements for learners.
While this is a 10-month fixed-term appointment, it offers the opportunity to make a real impact in a relatively short space of time. You'll join during an important period of transformation, helping to turn ambitious plans into meaningful progress and lay the foundations for longer-term change.
This is a full time role, however we are happy to consider candidates interested in 4 days (28 hours) a week.
Your profile
You will have a track record of delivering multi-workstream projects or programmes. You will bring strong planning, coordination and delivery skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, resources, risks and dependencies while keeping projects on track.
A confident communicator and collaborative problem-solver, you will be skilled at engaging stakeholders, influencing senior leaders and working across organisational boundaries. You will also have experience of programme governance, preparing reports for senior leadership and driving practical solutions to delivery challenges.
If you thrive on delivering results, enjoy the pace of transformation and want to see the difference your work can make, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to UAL's future.
