- Use advanced Excel and Power Query skills to combine, validate and transform data, investigating discrepancies and maintaining accuracy.
- Analyse occupancy, capacity and utilisation to inform space allocation, option appraisal, performance monitoring and strategic planning.
- Communicate findings and practical recommendations clearly, using Power BI and data visualisation to support engagement with stakeholders.
- Support the implementation and development of the University’s Computerised Maintenance Management System and other digital estates technologies.
About the Department
Estates & Facilities supports a safe, compliant, efficient and high-quality university estate. Within the service, the Space Management Team brings together accurate spatial information, practical space planning and analysis to help the University make effective use of its buildings. Our approach is collaborative and evidence-based, working with colleagues across the University to understand space requirements, assess options and support informed decisions. We are developing our use of data and digital estates technologies to strengthen records, reporting and planning. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to that improvement, working closely with the Space Planning Manager to develop space management practices and provide clear, practical insight into how the estate is used.
