{"job":{"jobId":1209457,"fk_accountId":null,"fk_organizationId":494,"fk_adminAccountId":null,"title":"Research Assistant/ Postdoctoral Research Associate - Health Services & Population Research","description":"\n\n
This role will be either a predoctoral level research assistant or postdoctoral level research position in the Centre for Implementation Science (CIS). The postholder will conduct research on 2 funded research projects.
\n\n\n
The first project (80% of the role) is the ‘Scaling-up Health-Arts Programmes: Implementation and Effectiveness Research’ (SHAPER) project, funded by the Wellcome Trust. The postholder will be employed to lead and conduct research on the implementation of a series of arts-driven interventions to improve physical and mental health in the areas. SHAPER focuses on perinatal depression, Parkinson’s disease and stroke survivors. The interventions are evaluated prospectively through RCT methodology (perinatal depression and Parkinson’s) and qualitative study (stroke). Project work-packages (WPs):
\n\n\n
WP1. Perinatal depression: the intervention being implemented and evaluated is Melodies for Mums, which involves group-based singing and is delivered by Breathe (https://breatheahr.org/). A hybrid effectiveness-implementation RCT has been designed to evaluate the intervention.
\n\n\n
WP2. Parkinson’s disease: the intervention is delivered by the National Ballet and involves a series of progressively advancing dance routines. A hybrid effectiveness-implementation RCT has been designed to evaluate the intervention, delivered to Parkinson’s patients at different levels of disease severity.
\n\n\n
WP3. Stroke: This WP focuses on the delivery of Brain Odysseys, which is a programme addressed at stroke survivors, which engages stroke survivors in performing arts and helps them develop into ambassador roles for their peers. The WP will apply action and implementation research methods to the evaluation.
\n\n\n
WP4. Implementation science: this is a cross-cutting WP, which works across the three clinical WPs to lead and coordinate the implementation and cost effectiveness evaluation of the interventions. This WP has led the development of the implementation evaluation, contributing implementation frameworks, theories and implementation scales.
\n\n\n
The postholder will be based within WP4, and work with a team of implementation scientists, methodologists and health economists, as well as clinical scientists situated across WPs 1-3. The post requires research experience in the area of implementation or improvement sciences; and/or qualitative, mixed or quantitative social and behavioural science theories, frameworks and research methodologies and techniques. Prior applied health research will add significant advantage to an application.
\n\n\n
The second project (20% of the role) is the Youth Empowerment Skills programme (YES), funded by Diabetes UK and led by the KCL Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery and Palliative Care. The project focuses on young people (14-18 years of age) with Type 1 diabetes and is a feasibility RCT of the YES intervention, with clinical and implementation outcome assessments at 6 and 12 months. YES is a novel psychoeducational intervention with simulation-based
\n\n\n
experiential learning tailored to the needs of young people.
\n\n\n
The postholder will play a pivotal role in driving both research projects forward.
\n\n\n","pdfUrl1":null,"location":"London (Greater) (GB)","location1":"유럽","location2":null,"location3":null,"type":"2","applyUrl":"https://jobs.kcl.ac.uk/gb/en/job/005845/Research-Assistant-Postdoctoral-Research-Associate","fileUrl1":null,"fileUrl2":null,"fileUrl3":null,"fileUrl4":null,"fileUrl5":null,"fileUrl6":null,"fileUrl7":null,"workingHour":"Full Time","contractType":"Maternity Cover","salary":"Grade 5, £32,676 - £37,297 per annum incl.
