The Faculty has approximately 1500 students, 330 PhD students and 700 employees.</p>\n\n\n<p><strong>Subject description</strong>\nLund University GIS Centre at the Department of Physical Geography and Ecosystem Science is going to employ a researcher for a short period to implement machine learning algorithms for disaster management. </p>\n\n\n<p><strong>Work duties</strong></p>\n\n\n<p><strong>Detailed description of the work duties are:</strong></p>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Research within the subject area</li>\n<li>Implementation of algorithms</li>\n<li>Publishing papers in scientific journals</li>\n<li>Administration related to the work duties listed above</li>\n</ul>\n\n\n<p><strong>Qualification requirements</strong></p>\n\n\n<p><strong>Applicants must have:</strong></p>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Good qualifications in mathematics and Python programming</li>\n<li>Basic knowledge about machine learning and multi-objective optimization</li>\n<li>Basic knowledge about Mike software and its programming environment</li>\n<li>Work experience is an advantage</li>\n<li>Very good oral and written proficiency in English</li>\n</ul>\n\n\n<p><strong>Assessment criteria and other qualifications</strong>\nThe assessment will be done based on the criteria mentioned in the qualifications requirements.
