With approximately 100,000 alumni worldwide, over 3,000 students, 7,500 continuing education registrants annually, four academic departments and 19 research centres and institutes, OISE is among the University of Toronto’s largest graduate divisions, and is one of the largest and most research-intensive faculties of education in North America. Among other responsibilities, the Dean will effectively manage resources, advance world-leading research, promote pedagogical and scholarly excellence, and nurture mutually beneficial relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The Dean will bring significant leadership experience that demonstrates their commitment to Indigeneity, diversity, and inclusion, and will have a proven track record of addressing systemic, structural, and historical disadvantage in research and pedagogy, as well as employment and admissions. They will also provide visionary and innovative leadership, encouraging collegiality and collaboration, and empowering faculty, staff, and students. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to balance consultation with sound decision-making, be an excellent communicator and motivator, and be a person of unassailable integrity and character.</p>\n\n\n<p>The new Dean of OISE will take office on July 1, 2021 or as mutually agreed.
