{"job":{"jobId":1212045,"fk_accountId":null,"fk_organizationId":462,"fk_adminAccountId":null,"title":"Research Imaging Engineer","description":"\n\n<p>The PanLab for Precision Mental Health and Translational Neuroscience within the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Science is focused on developing precision medicine approaches for mental health spanning mood, anxiety and attention disorders. Our research is centered on the goal of developing new brain-based classifications that inform an understanding of the individual and subsequent treatment selection. The PanLab is currently recruiting for a Research Imaging Engineer to manage and analyze large amounts of information, typically technical or scientific in nature, under the direction of the PI and project researchers.</p>\n\n\n<p>Interested candidates should include a CV or resume and Cover Letter addressing how your education and experience relates to the position as described above.\n\n<b>Duties include:</b></p>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Collect, manage and clean datasets for large volumes of multiband neuroimaging data acquired from multiple hundreds of subjects with mental health conditions and multiple thousands of healthy people.</li>\n<li>Employ new and existing tools to interpret, analyze, and visualize multivariate relationships in multiband neuroimaging data and its correlation with meta data acquired from the same human subjects.</li>\n<li>Use system reports and analyses to identify potentially problematic data, make corrections, and determine root cause for data problems from input errors or inadequate field edits, and suggest possible solutions. These reports and solutions focus on multiband neuroimaging data and include quality control for movement of subjects and quality of neuroimaging signals.</li>\n<li>Develop reports, charts, graphs and tables for use by investigators and for publication and presentation. Reports and tabular/graphical visualization for the results of quality control and preprocessing of multiband imaging data will be presented in monthly project investigator meetings.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with faculty and research staff on data collection and analysis methods. The RDA1 will collaborate with faculty investigators and research personnel to develop and document methods for pre-processing multiband imaging data and for quantifying multiband imaging data in a manner that allows for it to be analyzed and correlated with meta data from computerized tests and questionnaires. The RDA1 will have responsibility for collaborating with from project postdoc fellows and CRCs on NIH funded projects, in developing and implementing these methods, and for reporting progress at monthly investigator meetings.</li>\n<li>Communicate with government officials, grant agencies and industry representatives. Specifically, the RDA 1 will have responsibility for communicating with NIH officials to ensure project targets are met for multiband neuroimaging and related meta data quality control and sharing requirements.</li>\n<li>Coordinate, document and report to investigators each component of the NIH required data upload and upload reporting timeline for the multiband neuroimaging projects.</li>\n</ul>\n\n\n<p>* - Other duties may also be assigned\n </p>\n\n\n<p><b>DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</b></p>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering</li>\n<li>Experience and expertise with managing, quantifying and analyzing multiband imaging data that meets the criteria and protocols of the human connectome project (HCP), a priority initiative of the National Institutes of Health</li>\n<li>Experience in Data Version Control (DVC) procedures relevant to multiband imaging data and related meta data</li>\n<li>Expert knowledge best practices for data management for multiband imaging and related meta data from computerized testing and questionnaires that adhere to the principles of shareability, reproducibility, reliability, and compliance for data handling, specification, and common data elements. These practices include consistent data acquisition procedures, detailing the types of data to be collected, choice of standard formats, documentation of processing and statistical analysis, data and code versioning, definition of access policies, etc.</li>\n</ul>\n\n\n<p><b>EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):</b></p>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and relevant experience.
