Will play a key role in developing, growing, and engaging the Solve community; handle the recruitment of and relations with leaders from private, public, and nonprofit organizations whose expertise/interests align with the Learning pillar; and support the design of new Solve Challenges and manage existing ones, program events, and support early-stage innovators--Solver teams--through facilitated funding, mentorship, and partnership brokering. Responsibilities include researching and recruiting private/public/nonprofit/academic leaders; managing relations with leaders to engage them with Solve and its community; working with other Solve teams on planning and executing physical and virtual events; sourcing potential sponsors and partners to develop customized partnerships with Solve; taking part in the facilitation of human-centered design thinking workshops and other Solve activities; promoting new/existing Solve Challenges across the Solve Community and extensive networks for targeted outreach to find the most promising Solver teams; maintaining customer relations management databases; managing interns and volunteers; converting leads and prospects to paying Solve members; building and managing relations with Solver teams from selection through challenge completion; brokering partnerships between Solver teams and Solve Community leaders.</p>\n\n\n<p>Solve is an initiative of MIT with a mission to solve world challenges. </p>\n\n\n<p><strong>Job Requirements</strong></p>\n\n\n<p><strong>REQUIRED:</strong> bachelor’s degree; at least two years’ experience, including some in fund-raising, relationship management, or nonprofit business development; project management training/experience; desire to work in a hands-on, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment; strong organizational and prioritization skills; flexibility; and ability to work independently, take initiative, anticipate needs, and handle multiple projects simultaneously. </p>\n\n\n<p><strong>PREFERRED: </strong> experience or education in the field of learning, education technology, or related field.
