Will--with assistance from the Office of General Counsel--interpret federal policies/regulations and monitor the regulatory compliance landscape, communicate impacts of regulatory changes, and evaluate Institute activities to identify and mitigate any compliance risks; design and implement a risk model and compliance assessment plan and collaborate with the schools to address issues and implement corrective action; direct and implement policy and program modifications and develop compliance standards; design and deliver educational and training materials on export control and research compliance topics; develop and implement an education and outreach strategy regarding relevant compliance issues; author critical compliance communications; and advise management on emerging compliance issues. </p>\n\n\n<p><strong>Job Requirements</strong></p>\n\n\n<p><strong><em>REQUIRED</em>: </strong> bachelor’s degree (terminal or advanced degree preferred) in a related field; ten years’ related experience, preferably as a senior administrator in a research compliance-related field in higher education, academic medical center, or other organization involved in the conduct of research; working knowledge of federal agencies' policies and regulations, e.g., NSF, PHS, FDA, USDA, HHS, OHRP, OFAC, BIS, OMB, and ORI pertaining to areas such as financial management of sponsored projects, international sanctions, conflict of interest, human and animal subjects research, etc.; excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills; ability to develop plans and prepare and present reports to large audiences, develop educational programs for faculty and staff, and write handbooks and effective practices documents; self-motivation and initiative; ability to address/respond to federal audit issues; and in-depth knowledge of export control, sponsored projects administration, human/animal subjects, and/or conflict of interest. <strong>Job #18134-12</strong></p>\n\n\n<p>MIT is an equal employment opportunity employer.
