If you’re curious, motivated, want to be part of a unique community, and help shape the future then take a look at this opportunity.</p>\n\n\n<p><strong>PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION MANAGER</strong>, <em>Urban Studies and Planning (DUSP)-MIT Community Innovators Lab (CoLab)-</em><em>Just Urban Economics (JUE)</em>, to help CoLab’s JUE program be more efficient and impactful in its effort to shift economic development paradigms in the U.S. Will integrate the JUE team’s short-term planning activities with key operational processes that ensure effective delivery of results and long-term sustainability for the program; and work with CoLab’s student engagement manager to ensure seamless incorporation of student engagement programs with ongoing JUE work. Responsibilities include working with JUE’s director to develop and maintain systems for program planning and accountability with all JUE staff; partnering with team members to co-develop project goals, milestones, and metrics; managing and keeping all JUE project management platforms current; preparing and facilitating JUE staff meetings; managing JUE’s budget planning process; supporting the director in developing and maintaining an effective management structure for JUE and its projects; managing and maintaining JUE’s digital folder structure; ensuring seamless integration of student engagement, training, and support; supporting the director with incoming inquiries, prioritizing appointments (calendar) and workflow management, acting as a sounding board for new ideas/initiatives, and drafting proposals/correspondence. </p>\n\n\n<p>A full description is available at www.colab.mit.edu<a data-mz=\"\" href=\"http://www.colab.mit.edu/news-blog/2019/jusprogrammanager\" rel=\"no-follow\">/</a>news-blog/2019/jusprogrammanager. </p>\n\n\n<p><strong>Job Requirements</strong></p>\n\n\n<p><strong><em>REQUIRED</em>:</strong> bachelor’s (master’s preferred) degree in urban planning, labor studies, or related field; at least three years’ relevant experience; familiarity with principles and practices of economic democracy or community wealth building; experience managing, delegating to, and coaching staff/students; excellent team-building, coordination, project-management, and oral and written communication skills; attention to detail; and ability to execute tasks in a timely fashion.
