It comprises the Academy of Film, Department of Communication Studies and Department of Journalism, offering 20 programmes at sub-degree, undergraduate and postgraduate levels to circa 2,400 students. The dynamic academic environment entails Faculty members’ interdisciplinary collaboration across multiple fields of study. Under the University’s Talent100 recruitment drive, the School now invites applicants to fill the following positions:</p>\n<p><strong>Academy of Film</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Acting for Screen and Media</strong></p>\n<p>The Academy invites applications for full-time positions in its newly launched B.A. (Hons) in Global Acting. The appointees are expected to (i) teach undergraduate courses in screen acting, stage acting, performance arts and studies; (ii) direct, develop and supervise student acting projects; (iii) develop course content based on the latest industrial practices and production workflows; (iv) contribute to curriculum revision; (v) develop industrial outreach and international performance internships; and (vi) lead a number of co-curricular activities.</p>\n<p><strong>Potential candidates should:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>hold a PhD or MFA or Master’s degree in acting and performance studies or a relevant field;</li>\n<li>possess relevant professional, research and teaching experiences in one or more of the following areas: voice and speech, movement acting on stage, acting on screen and with technology, acting and directing, script analysis and acting; </li>\n<li>have excellent command in English; and </li>\n<li>preferably have notable and recognised professional credits or awards.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of two to three years.
