{"job":{"jobId":1321381,"fk_accountId":null,"fk_organizationId":462,"fk_adminAccountId":null,"title":"Administrative Associate 2","description":"\n\n<p>Stanford University is seeking an Administrative Associate 2 to provide administrative or operational support working under general supervision for three faculty members within the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Division of Thoracic Surgery</p>\n\n\n<p>The Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Stanford University Medical Center takes pride in the rich tradition of excellence and pioneering firsts that have made it one of the top cardiac and thoracic programs in the nation. Our long and distinguished legacy of research dates back to the late 1950s — our most notable triumphs being the first adult human heart transplant in the United States, the world's first successful adult human combined heart-lung transplant, the first successful use of a ventricular device as a bridge to transplantation, the first thoracic aortic stent graft, and the development of the first integrated platform for minimally invasive heart surgery.</p>\n\n\n<p><b>Duties include:</b></p>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Respond to inquiries, and determine and take appropriate action as required. Serve as a resource regarding a defined set of policies and procedures.</li>\n<li>Perform duties associated with scheduling, organizing, and operating conferences, seminars, and events, including recommending vendors for services, overseeing the production and distribution of materials, coordinating logistics, and serving as liaison with internal and external vendors.</li>\n<li>Draft and/or generate routine communications; coordinate production (formatting, copying, etc.) and dissemination of documents, such as presentations, course handouts, grant proposals, conference and seminar materials, complex reports, brochures, and displays.</li>\n<li>Plan and schedule calendar(s) based on consultation, resolve calendaring conflicts, and arrange travel in compliance with unit, university, and sponsor policies.</li>\n<li>Process and monitor routine financial transactions, which may include researching and resolving discrepancies.</li>\n<li>Maintain office supplies and equipment; obtain vendor quotations, as needed. Coordinate office moves.</li>\n<li>May serve as the point of contact for general maintenance, health and safety, and other facility concerns within the unit(s); report any incidents or potential safety problems to appropriate representatives.
