{"job":{"jobId":1332449,"fk_accountId":null,"fk_organizationId":462,"fk_adminAccountId":null,"title":"Software Release Manager","description":"\n\nJob Purpose\n\n\nStanford’s Enterprise Technology team is looking for an experienced Release Manager to define, implement, coordinate, and manage the software release cycle for multiple cloud and on-premise applications.  The releases can be inclusive of application updates, infrastructure improvements, security improvements, sandbox deployment, metadata replication, and related Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processes.  Responsibility will include implementing and managing release processes for code through multiple development, test, and production environments. Collaboration is essential with all participants that are inclusive of project managers, developers, business analysts, technical administrators, testers, and program management.\n\n\nThis position also works with University IT (UIT) management to improve the software development processes and CI/CD practices.  The Release Manager will help identify and resolve software inter-dependencies to ensure the integrity of the releases and to meet project milestones.\n\n\nCore Duties\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Manage the technical software release workflows end-to-end through collaboration with technical architects &amp; leads, product owners, infrastructure support, QA, and external teams.</li>\n<li>Identify and facilitate efficiency improvements in the release process.</li>\n<li>Measure and monitor progress to ensure releases are delivered on time with minimal service disruptions.</li>\n<li>Communicate and supervise the release schedule for all applications in conjunction with the maintenance of a release calendar.</li>\n<li>Manage risks and resolve issues related to release scope, schedule, and quality.</li>\n<li>Conduct release readiness reviews and milestone reviews.</li>\n<li>Maintain a release repository containing key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists. </li>\n<li>Support, maintain and perform upgrades of Salesforce CRM and custom applications.</li>\n<li>Represent the project team in weekly Change-Advisor Board (CAB) status meetings with information about release scope and/or impact.</li>\n<li>Advise software development and quality assurance (QA) teams on source control usage.</li>\n<li>Mentor junior staff, as necessary, working on all phases of the application development lifecycle.</li>\n<li>Research and work with other technical analysts and administrators to implement new configuration management methodologies, processes, and procedures.</li>\n<li>Other duties may also be assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n\n\nEducation &amp; Experience\n\n\nBachelor's degree and eight years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience.  3+ years of experience supporting Salesforce applications.\n\n\nRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle and quality control practices.</li>\n<li>Experience and training with project management practices, frameworks, and methodologies (Agile/Scrum/Waterfall).</li>\n<li>Experience with environment management, release management, code versioning, deployment methodologies, DevOps practices, and CI/CD tools.</li>\n<li>Experience in developing, testing, and deploying applications.</li>\n<li>Experience with Salesforce administration (Sales Cloud and Force.com applications).</li>\n<li>Experience with SFDC Administrative tasks like creating Profiles, Roles, Users, Page Layouts, Email Services, Reports, Dashboards, Tasks, and Events. </li>\n<li>Experience working with Salesforce platform metadata.</li>\n<li>Experience with database design concepts and use of SOQL, SOSL, and SQL.</li>\n<li>Experience with API and Web Services (REST/SOAP/Bulk). </li>\n<li>Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and programming tools.</li>\n<li>Ability to select, adapt, and effectively use a variety of programming methods.</li>\n<li>Ability to define and solve logical problems for highly technical applications.</li>\n<li>Ability to recognize and recommend needed changes to software development practices and procedures.</li>\n<li>Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical clients.</li>\n</ul>\n\n\nDesired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Experience with DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, or Puppet.</li>\n<li>Experience with integration platforms and data synchronization tools (Sesame Relational Junction, Informatica, SnapLogic).</li>\n<li>Experience in leading, coaching, and mentoring technical teams of varying skill levels.</li>\n<li>Experience with Salesforce Developer Experience (DX). </li>\n<li>Experience with team collaboration tools such as Confluence, Jira, or Basecamp.</li>\n</ul>\n\n\nCertifications and Licenses\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Salesforce certification credentials a plus.</li>\n</ul>\n\n\nPhysical Requirements\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Perform desk-based computer tasks.</li>\n<li>Frequently sit, grasp lightly/fine manipulation.</li>\n<li>Occasionally stand/walk, writing by hand.</li>\n<li>Rarely use a telephone, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.</li>\n</ul>\n\n\nWorking Conditions\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>May work extended hours, evenings, and weekends.</li>\n</ul>\n\n\nWork Standards\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrates the ability to work well with Stanford colleagues and clients and with external organizations.</li>\n<li>Promote Culture of Safety: Demonstrates commitment to personal responsibility and value for safety;
