Engineering","description":"\n\n
NTU Main Campus, Singapore
\n\n\n
The School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering invites applications for our Research Fellow position.
\n\n\n
The overall objective of the research is to develop a 2050 CCSU roadmap towards achieving, at least partially, a carbon-circular economy in Singapore.
\n\n\n
In addition to the roadmap, the proposed study will also address the following specifics:
\n\n\n
\n
2050 emission reduction target for Singapore to keep in line with the global effort to limit warming within 2 °C
\n
Capacity at which CCSU technologies must be operating by 2050 and 2100, respectively, taking into account other emission reduction efforts such as improved energy efficiency
\n
Optimal matching between the carbon capture technologies and the various point sources of emissions, taking into account the advantages and disadvantages of various carbon capture technologies
\n
A carbon-circular supply chain based on CCSU, matching CO2 conversion technologies, local demands and international market demands
\n
Need for carbon sequestration, storage and CO2 exporting
\n
Impact of potential technological revolutions, e.g. electrification of road transport, the adoption of synthetic kerosene for aviation and the switching to green marine fuels (e.g. methanol) on the demand for CCSU technologies
\n
Impact of cost-reduction of renewables on the cost effectiveness of CCSU technologies
\n
Impact of energy price fluctuations and carbon tax variations on the evaluation of CCSU technologies
\n
Quantitative impact of fundamental research breakthroughs, e.g. better sorbents, better catalysts, and better electrodes, on the cost competitiveness of CCSU technologies
\n
Potential impact of Singapore-based CCSU research in the ASEAN region
\n
\n\n\n
Key Responsibilities:
\n\n\n
\n
Conduct experimental research as outlined by PI
\n
Develop new research methodologies
\n
Provide support to research students and other research staff
\n
Report research progress regularly
\n
Publish research findings
\n
\n\n\n
Job Requirement:
\n\n\n
\n
A PhD degree in chemical engineering, process system engineering, or any other relevant field
\n
An undergraduate degree in chemical engineering is highly desired
\n
Preference will be given to candidates with experiences in performing techno-economic analysis and life cycle analysis
\n
Demonstrate excellent command of English
\n
Excellent communication skill and the ability to work in a team is a must
\n
\n\n\n
We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
\n\n\n","pdfUrl1":null,"location":"Singapore","location1":"아시아","location2":null,"location3":null,"type":"2","applyUrl":"https://ntu.wd3.myworkdayjobs.com/en-US/Careers/job/NTU-Main-Campus-Singapore/Research-Fellow--Chemical-Engineering-Process-System-Engineering-_R00001402-1","fileUrl1":null,"fileUrl2":null,"fileUrl3":null,"fileUrl4":null,"fileUrl5":null,"fileUrl6":null,"fileUrl7":null,"workingHour":"Full
