Whether it’s agenda-setting news and analyses, commentary from the sharpest minds in international academia, our influential university rankings, or the latest insights from our World Summit Series, everything we do is focused on helping HE individuals and institutions to excel.\n<a data-mz=\"\" href=\"https://www.timeshighereducation.com\" rel=\"no-follow\">www.timeshighereducation.com</a> \n\n<strong>Basic Scope and primary objectives</strong>\nSuccessfully sell THE’s site wide subscription service to universities globally \nPlan and implement sales strategies for key markets\nBuild strong relationships with new and existing customers to ensure that they are fully utilising their subscription amongst their staff and students which will in turn support future renewal conversations\nTo generate new business leads through market research and personal knowledge</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\"><strong>The Opportunity</strong>\nWe are looking for an experienced sales manager to further develop our growing institutional subscriptions business.\n\nThe successful candidate will need:</p>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>To attend an agreed number of sales meetings with new and existing clients across agreed territories.</li>\n<li>Implement new sales strategies in key markets using local knowledge and research </li>\n<li>To attend industry and company events to drive sales opportunities.</li>\n<li>To accurately record information/sales/upgrades within Salesforce (and other relevant systems), the company requires for market awareness and revenue or statistical analysis.</li>\n<li>To fully understand and be able to communicate to our customers the THE institutional subscriptions pricing structure.</li>\n<li>Fully understand the THE institutional subscription offering which will in turn help drive engagement with new and existing customers </li>\n<li>To maintain an extremely high level of customer care at all times.</li>\n<li>To focus on achieving group or individual targets as set out by THE.</li>\n<li>To attend meetings as requested.</li>\n</ul>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\"><strong>Person Specification</strong>\n\nEssential Skills/Qualifications</p>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Highly driven/ self-motivated with a passion to learn and develop within the role</li>\n<li>New business development/ sales experience </li>\n<li>Strong networking skills</li>\n<li>Evidence of commercial acumen</li>\n<li>Able to demonstrate a creative and original talent</li>\n</ul>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\"><strong>Desirable Skills/Qualifications</strong></p>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>International sales experience</li>\n<li>Degree level qualification or equivalent</li>\n<li>Evidence of commercial acumen</li>\n<li>Able to demonstrate a creative and original talent</li>\n<li>Ambition</li>\n<li>Events experience</li>\n<li>Subscription sales experience </li>\n</ul>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\"><strong>Required Knowledge/ Skills</strong></p>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent listening & communication skills</li>\n<li>Evidence of building long term client relationships</li>\n<li>Computer literacy </li>\n<li>Excellent organisational skills</li>\n<li>Ability to prioritise workload</li>\n<li>Excellent time management</li>\n<li>Able to multi task</li>\n<li>Able to work to strict deadlines</li>\n<li>Willing to travel </li>\n</ul>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">Please include your CV when applying via LinkedIn, at the same time indicating your current and expected remuneration.
