Flexible working will be considered.\n<strong>Contract type </strong>Fixed term contract\n<strong>Fixed Term Period </strong>3 years\n<strong>Salary </strong>£30,600 per annum (Research Assistant, if close to completing PhD) or £33,809 per annum (Research Fellow, if PhD obtained)\n<strong>Apply by </strong>01/03/2022</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\"><u><strong>Role Description</strong></u></p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\"><strong>About the Role</strong></p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">You will work on two UKRI projects: one on the potential for carbon sequestration in soils used in a range of agricultural applications, and one on assessing impacts from introducing regenerative practices in agricultural systems in Yorkshire and the United Kingdom. These systems will need to be resilient to changing climate The work will be strongly analytical and will involve using a number of tools (Life Cycle Assessment, Linear Programming of Whole Farms, the RothC soil model and GIS).</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\"><strong>About You</strong></p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">You will be a self-motivated individual with an active interest in mathematical modelling of agricultural systems and who has interests in developing and applying these tools to enhance sustainable food systems. You will be educated to doctoral level in a relevant subject and have experience in using quantitative methods.
